Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 receiving rave reviews from the music blogosphere and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are among the artist's most notable covers. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway through her music, gave an additional boost to the music. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is the discovery of an instrument in her attic and being fascinated by the music it could create. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as an occupation or pastime but for growth. She began writing songs of her own. Like Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mom encouraged her to sing her music in front of the public, but not for the sake of trying to be famous, but to make others aware of how significant their voices are and how they can bring to the world. Her first piano lessons began at age six and creating music when she was nine. It wasn't known to her family about it until she reached 14. She never had a desire for her to achieve Aurora. Her words say that she simply enjoys writing songs. For her, music is the ideal way to be able to feel everything.
